Network Firewall Security · Powered by SonicWall

One gate between your business and the internet — and it checks everything

Every computer, server, printer, camera and phone in your office shares one connection to the internet. A business-grade SonicWall firewall, fully licensed and managed by ECSG, inspects that connection in real time — blocking attacks coming in and stopping compromised devices from calling out.

A firewall without active security services only routes traffic. Ours inspect it.
The Problem

The router your internet provider gave you is not a security system

Most small offices connect to the internet through a basic router that forwards traffic and little else. It doesn't inspect what passes through, it doesn't stop an infected device from talking to criminals, and it lets every device see every other device.

No inspection

Malware, exploits and spyware travel through a basic router untouched — it only checks where traffic goes, not what it carries.

Unfiltered traffic
Devices without protection

Printers, cameras, smart TVs and badge readers can't run antivirus. On a flat network, they're the easiest way in.

Unmanaged devices
Nothing stops the spread

When everything shares one network, one infected laptop can reach every server, every file share and every backup.

Lateral movement
How It Works

Every connection is inspected — in both directions

The firewall sits between your network and the internet. Each packet passes through several security engines in real time, without your team noticing anything except a safer network.

1

Inspect

Traffic is opened and examined at the content level, not just by address and port.

Deep packet inspection
2

Block malware

Known viruses, worms, Trojans and spyware are stopped at the gateway, before they reach any device.

Gateway AV · Anti-Spyware
3

Stop exploits

Attacks that target software flaws are recognized by their signatures and blocked automatically.

Intrusion prevention
4

Control

Only approved applications and website categories are allowed, for every device behind the firewall.

App Control · Content Filtering
5

Watch outbound

A compromised device trying to contact attacker infrastructure is cut off — and we're alerted.

Outbound threat control

Result: the whole network is protected — including the devices that can't protect themselves.

What's Included

The Security Package — explained in plain English

These services are licensed and active on every firewall ECSG deploys. We keep them updated, tuned and renewed so protection never quietly expires.

Gateway Anti-Virus

Malware stopped at the door

Scans traffic at the gateway and blocks known malware, worms and Trojans before they reach a single device on the network.

Why it matters: one checkpoint protects every device at once.
Anti-Spyware

No silent spying

Blocks spyware from being installed and disrupts the hidden communications of spyware that's already present.

Why it matters: spyware doesn't announce itself — it just watches and reports out.
Intrusion Prevention (IPS)

Exploits blocked in real time

Deep packet inspection scans every connection for exploits, buffer overflows and known attack signatures — and blocks them automatically.

Why it matters: unpatched software is protected while updates catch up.
Application Control

Decide what runs on your network

Granular policies decide which applications are allowed at all, and how much bandwidth each one can use.

Why it matters: risky apps stay out, and video calls aren't slowed by downloads.
Application Visualization

See what's really happening

Real-time visibility into exactly which applications are running across the network — not just what's technically allowed.

Why it matters: you can't protect what you can't see.
Content Filtering — Premium

Safe browsing for every device

Category-based web filtering blocks malicious, inappropriate and non-business sites for every device behind the firewall.

Why it matters: even devices without a browser extension are covered.
Network Segmentation

Separate zones, so one problem can't become everyone's problem

We divide your network into isolated zones with VLANs. Each zone gets only the access it needs. If a guest laptop or a camera is compromised, it has nowhere to go.

Zone 1

Servers & Data

File servers, backups and business systems. The most protected zone.

Zone 2

Workstations

Employee laptops and desktops, with access only to what they need.

Zone 3

Guest Wi-Fi

Internet only. Visitors never see your company devices.

Zone 4

Cameras & IoT

Cameras, printers and smart devices, isolated from your data.

Full Visibility, Zero Blind Spots

Protection for the devices nobody thinks about

Endpoint security protects laptops and servers. But many devices on your network can't run any security software at all. Because the firewall protects at the network level, they're covered too.

VPN & Secure Remote Access

Work from anywhere, safely

Encrypted tunnels let remote and hybrid employees reach internal resources without exposing your network directly to the internet.

Why it matters: remote work doesn't have to mean an open door.
Outbound Threat Control

Stop the call home

Just as important as blocking attacks coming in: stopping an already-compromised device from contacting attacker infrastructure.

Why it matters: ransomware usually needs to call out before it strikes.
Logs to the SOC

Another set of eyes for 24/7 monitoring

Blocked connections, intrusion attempts and outbound anomalies are streamed into our 24/7 threat monitoring and correlated with your endpoints.

Why it matters: the firewall doesn't just defend — it helps detect.
Part of a Bigger Stack

The perimeter layer protects everything the others can't reach

  • Endpoint Protection (SentinelOne) protects each laptop and server. The firewall protects the network they share.
  • Safe Web Browsing (DefensX) follows users anywhere. The firewall covers every device in the office, even without a browser.
  • 24/7 Threat Monitoring (SOC) receives the firewall's logs and correlates them with everything else it sees.

What we do for you

  • Design: we size the firewall for your internet speed and users, and plan your network zones.
  • Installation: deployment and cutover planned to avoid disruption to your business.
  • Configuration: security services, VLANs, Wi-Fi zones, VPN and content policies set up for you.
  • Maintenance: firmware updates, rule reviews and license renewals tracked by our team.
  • The whole network: need cabling, Wi-Fi or a new office? We design and install it too.
Questions Decision-Makers Ask

Frequently asked questions

Our internet provider gave us a router. Isn't that a firewall?

Basic ISP routers block some unsolicited connections, but they don't inspect traffic for malware or exploits, don't control applications, don't segment your network properly and don't send security logs to anyone. A business firewall with active security services does all of that.

Most of our team works remotely. Do we still need a firewall?

If you have an office with servers, printers, cameras or guest Wi-Fi, yes — those devices stay behind. Remote users are protected by endpoint and browser security, and can reach office resources securely through the firewall's VPN.

Will inspecting traffic slow down our internet?

We size the firewall model to your internet speed and number of users, with security services enabled, so protection doesn't become a bottleneck.

What happens when the security licenses expire?

The firewall keeps routing traffic, but the security services stop updating — which leaves you exposed without anyone noticing. ECSG tracks every renewal so protection never lapses.

Can we offer Wi-Fi to guests safely?

Yes. Guest Wi-Fi runs in its own isolated zone with internet access only, so visitors never see or reach your company devices.
